Does Good Stewardship Include More Than Just Managing Money?

Whenever we think of being a good and faithful steward our thoughts usually immediately focus on financial affairs.  What other things should we consider as well, in order to be a good steward and live a prosperous and balanced life?

I have realized that properly managing money is only one part of stewardship.  Managing our time is equally if not even more important.  Time is an irreplacable resource and how we use it often determines how much money we have in the first place.

Great post Anonymous, thanks.

It reminded me of something I read a long time ago that said that each day we recieve a deposit in our time bank of 24 hours.  How productive we made those 24 hours was entirely up to us.  It is a scarey thought to think we might actually be held accountable some day for how we used that time.  Your post has helped me see I need to start using that time to focus on things that are not just important to me, but important to God as well.

If you look in Genesis at why God created man you'll find that man's purpose was to tend the Garden of Eden.  I think we kind of forget about that and get caught up in thinking about money.  A good steward should manage all the resources God has given us.  That would include natural resources too!  Not just money and our time.
